Apparently there is no day/night cycle. The game has either towns at day and towns at night but the game reads the clock for time based evos. That just might be the worst thing I read today.

No. Do you realize this game has been in development since Sun and Moon was being developed? They had a ton of time. They just don't really care.

Shinies really don't appear shiny in the overworld. So in Pokemon camp they look like normal Pokemon yikes.

Of course I realize but after Sun and Moon we got USUM and Let's Go and like yeah I know they like to keep on the 3 year cycle for new gens but we haven't gotten a stretch like this where 3 games dropped in consecutive years in over a decade. The last time they did something resembling what they're doing now in terms of output was after 3rd gen. We got those games in 2003, got Fire Red/Leaf Green in 2004 and then Emerald in 2005, but instead of giving us 4th gen in 2006, they waited an extra year plus that was when they moved from Gameboy Advance to DS.

Bro this game had a 5 year Dev cycle. You're getting that confused with release dates. This game started development alongside Sun&Moon which started in 2014. That's way longer than they usually do. That's almost on par with G/S Dev cycle which started in 95 and didn't finish until 2000. This game got pushed back a year already that's why we got LGPE. This just shows they really don't care anymore. It's a difference from release year and Dev year

Also they always been on a consecutive year release cycle since Red&Green. You're looking at English releases. The games use to release in Japan a year earlier. The only time it was a break was between gens and they made spin offs to replace that. They still do this model to this day.
