the major criticism at first was that over half of the pokemon were left out of the base game. most hardcore fans werent buying their reasoning (they said they had to re-do all 800+ models for the switch) because they already had future proof models available since X&Y.

outside of that people complained about battle animations being lackluster, graphics being lackluster compared to other Nintendo franchise switch titles, story/rival being subpar, and the exp share permanently being on (before we had the choice to turn it on or off)

but yea the thing that set everything ablaze was the cut pokemon

Man I have like a 2-3 hour down time at work in between/during surgeries. I usually bring my switch, Vita, or 3DS depending on what I'm playing and just play those 2 hours away lol.

Can't forget how pittiful IOA was. Crown Tundra kind of fixes what IOA was lacking, but man does it also feel burren.
