UltimaAgain when I say tease I don't mean them actually showing a trailer or even announcing game names. Just that Gen 9 is currently in development.
If that's what you mean then i guess they could, but it would be dumb imo lol, its not like we wouldnt know they're working on a new pokemon game. It would make pokemon fans excited tho so i can see why they would do it

No it wouldn't. They did the same thing with SW/SH during the last big anniversary that Gen 8 was currently in development. It's nothing new that they do lol

Its like when developers give confirmation they're working on something people expect, its nothing crazy but people are happy they get confirmation. Its stupid to me but i can see why they would do it, cause covid has shown people are desperate for even a logo or a mention

Yes I agree with you lol. My thing is I brought that up because this isn't an abnormal thing for GF to do. They always have mentioned the next generation is in development some times years before it's out. This is before Covid. Out of that entire list that's the most likely one.
