Bro animal crossing alone sold almost 40 million. It took 3 Pokemon games(remember SW/SH are two games so they combine their sales) to be able to compete with animal crossing. Then you have Mario Kart and Mario Oddessy lol

Been tryna put my girl on to Pokémon for a couple months. Got her to download an emulator to play through Crystal and she wasn’t f***ing with it..

After I copped her a switch, I finally convinced her to play PMD DX. After the first hour she was already hooked on it. I think the game is a lot more appealing to her because each Pokémon has their own unique personality and the concept is a lot more straightforward.

I think after she beats this, imma have her try to play though BDSP because I think it’ll be a much better introduction to the main story games.

She has ADHD so sometimes slow paced games like this are hard for her to hold her attention, plus she never really has played a lot of single player games so she doesn’t realize that the start of games take a bit of time to get into the meat of the game. So far I’m 3/4 on games I’ve showed her but I think if she tried Crystal again in a different context she would like it more.

Tell her play the other Mystery Dungeon games. That just may be her lane.

Yeah I told her if she likes this I could help her download an emulator for Explorers of Time/Darkness/Sky since that s*** is easily better than the OGs imo, at least story wise (I do hope they remake them for the switch but I doubt it lol).

I think the game is just more her speed. Challenging enough but simplistic at the same time. I do think she gonna have to cop a pro controller if she wants to enjoy the entire experience cause playing emulators on a MacBook f***ing sucks with m+k.

I’ll get her to eventually come around to the OG games. I think if she played one of the newer ones she’d enjoy it more just because it’s a bit more modernized. We’ll see though lol

Yeah get her to play Explorer of sky and then get her the 3DS game Super Mystery Dungeon (probably the best mystery dungeon game tbh).

Eventually it may peak her interest to play the main series games once she see it's more Pokemon than just Gen 1-4

Good plan. I never played SMD (that acronym ) but I’ve heard it’s pretty decent. I think my younger sister has both of them so maybe I’ll finesse her to let me borrow it for her
