honestly I thought it was fine, definitely not among my favourite pokemon games but I didnt vehemently hate it like a lot of other people on the internet. $40 is more than fair for it IMO

It's possible. These games aren't using SW/SH assets so it's completely possible we'll get them. Distortion world maybe extra post game content.

I’ll be honest, I played a little bit of BOTW recently and while it does look nice there were a lot of moments where the pop in was pretty bad and almost looked like what you see on that Pokemon screenshot. But the art style is so cohesive that you can look past it. It’s a shame they didnt push the art direction further for the Pokemon game

D/P remakes look really solid though wasn't a fan of the initial reveal but im definitely sold on the artstyle now

The artstyle was a better match for Links Awakening’s dreamy/ wacky vibe, here it just looks cheap and uninspiring.

Yea, some of the textures are pretty nasty too. Gameplay still looks decent though
