I ended up getting violet. Game is running very smooth so that’s nice. The beginning tutorial section is a bit of a slog tho

Agreed I just finished scarlet for the first time and the beginning was worse than I remembered when I first started violet

I'm not going lie I kind of have not like the gameplay I've seen from Z-A. Having to time attacks and constantly moving I kind of don't want that for my Pokemon game. Feels like a lot of creative changes was made to create artificial difficulty because GF still don't know to do level caps.

The only reason why my hype for the game is low is because of the setting. Pokemon been always about adventure for me. I don't know if they can invoke that feeling if its only in a city. Plus I don't rate the XY games that highly

I'm the same. It feels like a major setback from the different bioms that Legends Arceus had to being strictly in one area.
