Is pokopia a game I can jump right into and start enjoying? Or is there a long, cumbersome tutorial phase?

    It’s great from the start

I still need to play Pokopia

  • This is the team I've been using. Only just changed around moves and swapped a dragapult out for kommo-o. Was stuck in great ball 1 for forever before swapping, hopefully kommo is better

Anyone know how I can get the trade evolutions on HeartGold on iOS rom?

I’m using Delta to play the rom… just want to know if there’s any way I can get them without having to use a PC

Just some ideas from the top of my head:

1: look up if your emulator supports multiplayer/trading and trade with yourself on another device

2: patch your rom with a custom rom hack that allows you to evolve everything without trading

3: look up if there are cheats/action replay codes for this scenario

Pokemon Champions comes to Mobile next week. No Nintendo Switch needed.

The Period of Peace is over, fellas. I’m back from vacation.

    Your king has returned.

Nobody really talking about pokemon champions being out on phones as of today?

Kind of thinking of making a thread if I have time today since we don't have one.

Also was thinking of offering mons to people if anyone is in need of something. Might be willing to hunt for shinies or whatever too sometimes

I had a (scary) thought when I first saw this:

What if there’s 300 new mon across all of Gen 10 but Winds and Waves have a unique Dex of about 140-150 each?

So instead of 5-6 version exclusives, practically an entire half of all new Pokémon introduced are version exclusive outside of the starters.

Scarlet and Violet, at least to me, felt like their strongest effort yet in differentiating the two versions in hope that people would buy both. This would certainly be a leap forward for that.

  • I can’t wait, arceus, violet and za were all fun to me and it feels like they’re gonna keep improving for the foreseeable future. I’m super optimistic about this series. Now that the switch 2 got a little oomph to it the game hopefully won’t look/perform awful as well. MMO features felt inevitable, you can tell they’re building towards that.

  • Pls winds and waves 🥺👉👈

Really interested to for the next trailer, hope it's soon - I like the reveal

Scarlett/Violet is the first mainline Pokemon game I didn't finish and ZA is the first major pokemon game I skipped completely

Gen 9 era rough as hell as literal games (although I like a lot of the actual Pokemon designs) but 10 looks like they're getting their s*** back together

I like sword n shield as well, I think the initial dislike if it was overblown to the debit crying but otherwise I still think it's really solid and the game cooked heavy with a lot kf the pokemon designs and in competitive it was good (doubles speakinh, gmax/dmax does not work in singles at all tho LMFAO) - the region and especially the dlcs are great too, I only really dislike the no real evil team thing they doing in gen 8 n 9, and the story outside of eternatus was mid

Also still can't believe we don't have voice acting lol, hopefully gen 10 does but don't bet on it - I don't think any Pokemon game has voice acting, except pokken tournament? I think? 💀

I’d welcome this. I’m a consumer and I’ve bought both versions of Pokemon on release for as long as I can remember. Going back to like Ruby/Sapphire

If they did what you’re describing then it would be the first gen I WOULDNT buy both versions. Two completely different dex is fire and I’d actually enjoy trading with others

Mega Dragonite looks so much better in Pokemon Champions imo - I like its design a lot now and it's good in competitive on top of it

Same with a few other mons from ZA's terrible assets that look and showoff better in Champions like Mega Skarmory

Hope we see how they look in Winds/Waves new art and engine

Is sw/sh actually better than s/v? Or is it just your preference

Is sw/sh actually better than s/v? Or is it just your preference

People in general prefer Terra over Gmaxing as a mechanic (Terra is the 1st gimmick I personally dislike)

But outside of that, Scarlet and Violet is considered actually bad in general and it's not turning around

The open world design is undercooked with how the gyms don't scale even tho you can do them any order, most the open world is ass (tho is does have some cool moments/places) and the graphics are the worst for a pokemon switch along with ZA, it's genuinely ugly, and the camera can't handle things like tight tunnels and will show you a void around it as you move through.

It also has some dumbass s*** like the bean bag pushing "gym challenge" and poor frame rate n stuttering - and the gating of the "evil" teams is so bad and tedious, and just lame.

I cant speak on the dlc personally of s/v, which ppl always liked the dlc of sword shield, but from what I gathered, ppl didn't like the dlc for s/v that much either outside of the new mon additions.

Only thing I really like about gen 9 is a lot of new mons, and the once in the blue cool moments of the open world of like a wild drednaw playing with its baby chewtal in the water, but these moments aren't common (I think these wild open world moments are suppose to be more common but are bugged as hell).

I've played every Pokemon main title at release since Yellow (and I played og red n blue from my older bros gameboy games) and I like them all to various degrees, X n Y was my least fav before Scarlett n violet and s/v is the only one I didnt finish even one play thru which I did do for x n y and sun n moon - ibe also played almost every major side game of Pokemon too, but ZA is the first i willingly past on. It's s/v terrible but even more. You can see where they tried in s/v, but za they didn't at all, and it's such a bad fall off from Hisuian Legends game - s*** ain't even comparable and shouldn't be called a Legends game.

    • I then been playing competitive off and on since gen 5 if that matters to u (mostly on actual game, sometimes on showdown), I did singles in gen 5 and x n y which I was decent, then switched to doubles with omega Ruby (gen 3 is my fav gen too btw), I was good in it and sun/moon, and then I got really good in sword shield, and now I'm meta competitive in gen 9 n Champions with other really high tier ppl. N it don't count but I used to play against my older brother with our own teams n opposite games (n trade) in pre gen 5 since gen 1, gen 5 is when he hopped off lmao.

Man have yall seen the rumors that's out there? 300 new pokemon is insane.

This is my first time playing since Sun and Moon, but many of the new Pokemon I’ve seen don’t even look like Pokemon fr.

Maybe cus I haven’t played their games but they feel off. So 300 additional mons? So far I ain’t too hyped about that
