S modded me for politics section
I see you guys (and others) consistently making quality threads / posts and you all rarely (if ever) s***post / derail
I just wanted to tell you guys this so we can keep the section clean. Obviously this is a forum and we're here to lay off some steam and have some fun, but obviously this section needs a slight bit more of modding
I just wanted to let you guys know to @ me if you see something that breaks the guidelines:
https://ktt2.com/rules-and-guidelines-temporary-thread-70139
@ me if you see:
racism / antisemitism / homophobia / transphobia / misogyny or any other form of hate speech
abusement/harass/threatening of other users
Being apologetic for colonization and slavery is grounds for a mute, like this post by Reformed:

for those who have read, or attempted at least some substantial part of Capital/Das Kapital, what do you think of it? I’m just curious at this point... but know i do want to read it some day
@Synopsis i know at one point you said you were like midway through it, have you ever finished it

What's your general feeling/thought after finishing it (i must have missed if u discussed it in the other thread)

i think everyone should read it with a companion (i didn't use one lol) and i think its essential for everyone to read in order to fully understand the capital-labor relation and the historical nature of capitalism. a lot of it is tedious (the first 150 pages, and all the historical stuff about wages/certain laws etc.,) but clearly the most important book imo. its much easier to grasp concepts like exploitation, surplus value, capital accumulation etc., after reading it

the marx reader I have has about 130 pages of selections from capital so I'll at least get a preview if I make my way through all of this, and then I'll have a better idea for later what I'll be getting into I guess

I will probably read it in a decade tbh 😭 I feel like it is so so dense and so complicated
Also whenever someone tells me they've read Marx they're always like "Communist Manifesto and Das Kapital" and I always just am like you sure about that? Liar.
It's like the only two books liberals/ right wingers know

”Yes Marks was all wrong! Of course I’ve read Das Kapital!” i’m just imagining it like some comedy scene

well i think marx gets briefly alluded to as a footnote in like philosophy or whatever so people might have heard a paragraph of marx and say they’ve read him
Mods of this section really changed my GOAT title 😭

Does gothic violence by mike ma count? He’s more of a kaczynski follower but many of his views still align with right wing ideologies
