It’s the truth man, this country is too big, and people are too content. You want change you have to play the game

That's the exact opposite of historical fact

    Synopsis

That's the exact opposite of historical fact

Russia had a population of 91 million people during the civil war. France had a population of about 30 million during their revolution. Both of these example people couldnt afforded bread. You think a country of over 300 million with plenty are ready to march on DC? I sure don’t

After the Islamic Revolution, the regime took over Iran and basically gave power to Mullahs only because of their heavy belief in the religion and not because of actual knowledge or ideas of assessing political and social means. They tore down cultural and historical buildings and replaced them with more mosques and a palace for the Ayatollah, they pretty much neglected the people during COVID, they have brought the economy to the worst it has ever been and they control all the Presidents who have been around for the last dozen years.

They placed a mandatory hijab law and punish women and degrade them in the streets (even Mullahs do this) by insulting them and saying they aren’t being respectful or following God’s will. They also have the standard blasphemy is forbidden, no homosexuals, etc.

So what do think would be the best solution to correct all this?

Over the last decade the people of Iran have been prominently showcasing their resentment towards the regime by protests and riots. The regime doesn’t let reformists or progressives take any form of power or go through elections either so they have a strict lockdown of having all the power to themselves. The solution is a full on revolution but under these circumstances the people are absolutely powerless, especially now, their only solace is Khamanei’s health getting worse over the years but who knows who’s gonna replace him.

I’m in favor of regime change but ultimately Trump still cares more about America’s interests over the people of Iran. The last time America meddled with Iran, the Islamic Regime was the outcome, so it’d be nice if they can just tweak that again but it’d be better under a Democratic leader such as Obama for instance, but what he did was ultimately just appeal to them with the nuclear deal.

I think Obama’s strategy was to bring them into the global community and they’ll slowly fall in line as their people slowly benefit from the improved economic and high standard of living conditions. I’m also in favor of regime change, not militarily but playing the long game. Get a couple McDonald’s there and they’ll fall in line

Ultimately, Iran would be best under a secular democracy.

I agree, but the geopolitics of the Middle East and rivalry between the Iranians and Saudis/Israel isn’t going to change. Democratic or not

The government has been focused on water issues for some time. In 2005, the Minister of Water Resources reportedly said the challenge facing China is “to fight for every drop of water or die.”

And again, they all have nukes.
