I know he added drums to one song on Yeezus but that's about the highlight of his "producer" career. I don't think that's enough to call him a producer when we've never heard a complete beat done just by him

This makes him no different than a 2001 Dr. Dre or Shock Value Timbaland or MBDTF Kanye if he's doing drums, and he probably does more than just that and he's the main artist on top of that

Many rappers do the same thing but we don't call them a "producer". There's no reason to give him that label. Like I said, no one is gonna call me a basketball player if I hoop at LA Fitness sometimes

I just used to hear these misconceptions that Travis is this amazing producer all the time but he hasn't actually produced anything notable. He even stole the beats that got him attention to begin with. Kanye was actually a legendary producer before he became a rapper. I think it's just disingenuous to call Travis a producer. I think what you describe is an executive producer
