That's an executive producer. I find it hard to believe that Travis is super hands on with the production. I imagine the extent of his input is saying s*** like "Make it sound dark" lol
Multiple producers including Kanye have said that he's added drums on songs. He did drums on Yeezus
I'm sure with his albums it's no different

I know he added drums to one song on Yeezus but that's about the highlight of his "producer" career. I don't think that's enough to call him a producer when we've never heard a complete beat done just by him

This makes him no different than a 2001 Dr. Dre or Shock Value Timbaland or MBDTF Kanye if he's doing drums, and he probably does more than just that and he's the main artist on top of that

But those guys have a history of producing on their own before getting there. Travis does not. That's why it's pointless to call him a producer. Many rappers do the same thing but we don't call them a "producer". There's no reason to give him that label. Like I said, no one is gonna call me a basketball player if I hoop at LA Fitness sometimes

He doesn't have to
He did what MBDTF Kanye did but he did it on his debut album
Why would he spend years producing solo songs when he has the team already

I'm not sayin he got to. All I said is Travis shouldn't be called a producer

He is by definition, Utopia wouldn't exist without him

He is an artist, not a producer

Produced the entire thing guy
What you're thinking of is beatmaker vs producer

producing is more than just making beats
MBDTF the only album above it @op
Whole lotta coping and KTT-Trav-hating itt
So far these are the albums people are trying to say have better production than Rodeo itt:
Veeze and RX Papi might have some tricks up their sleeves but most of these other nominees are not touching Rodeo lol

he "re-did" drums on 1 song on Yeezus that S1 originally produced

have you heard the Demo version of the Beats/Songs for MBDTF? Ye was still hands on and crafting ideas from scratch
I just used to hear these misconceptions that Travis is this amazing producer all the time but he hasn't actually produced anything notable. He even stole the beats that got him attention to begin with. Kanye was actually a legendary producer before he became a rapper. I think it's just disingenuous to call Travis a producer. I think what you describe is an executive producer
Kanye ain’t no legendary producer
