Lmaooo can’t wait
Feel like I talked my s*** up way too much but that's honestly because this property was a dirt patch with a single story garage on it. Turned the garage into a house and added a dance studio too. Finally getting to the yard area now.
This gonna be the zen garden area. I trained that vine on the left to crawl over and up the fence to create shade in the morning so we can have breakfast out there without the sun being too intense. Since we live in a desert it gets pretty rough. The dirt area by the fence will be cleaned up with some more sand and rocks and other zen gardeny stuff in the coming months. Thinking of doing some sort of hanging lantern setup as well since the verandah is directly behind me in this pic
This is the back/side yard. Last pic in the series shows how it used to look. Next up is staining/sealing the fence and then painting the metal fence on the back or replacing it entirely. We'll see. You can see it's still a WIP.
Another angle. This is mostly corn but also zucchini, bell peppers, and green chile. In the back is potatoes, cauliflower, and snap peas. That used to be our chicken coop area before we went fully vegan.
This is the front patio area with the herb garden. You can see we've already stained this fence, looks way better IMO. Apricot and pear tree off camera to the right and this is the peach tree. Also a vitex chaste, oregano, blackcurrant bush, green onions, and some other nice lads. Further in the front yard we have some bigger trees, lavender, a thicc rosemary bush, another blackcurrant bush, and some other decorative ones.
And here is a rare before picture featuring my cat. Been a lotta work getting to here and will be a lot more to come.
I also just got a sick hammock that I've hung in the house but also can hang under the verandah for the ultimate indulgence.

Nah was a straight up dirt lot beforehand with a single story garage. Turned that into the house and then put the dance studio in the front. Landscaper's mostly did the front yard area because I wanted that mad professional and now I just been doing the back myself.
But yeah I'm slowly getting into homesteading and stuff like that so this is my sort of learning process for how to grow things.
