i forgot to post the initial 'bones' sketch of this side of the cd but here's both the bones and the more refined sketch

the perspective angle is so good damn thats insane

    lot of line work too

i do 3d but i wish i was good at 2d, so much expression and plays with depth

i would have thot this was a piece that combined 3d and 2d elements if i didnt know better

    i finished it:

    Here's the in-processes i saved

    • the start

    • scene complete

    • lighting test
    • rotation test
    • and the work station

the ones i posted the other day we're still-renders while the animation was rendering itself. the inspo aesthetic was from frutiger aero and dreamcore - the concept was to have a microscopic world cut out similar to like old 3d platformer stage select screens, n i knew i wanted a dolphin swimming in a wave moving water cube then i built from there on the fly. i also love how the clouds came out in the background and how they morph into abstract water waves as well which was inspired by the dreamcore style.

n i now have a rendering engine in the newest blender update that makes my renders look like the cgi render cutouts from like nintendo, square enix, rare etc, would do for gaming magazines and marketing etc. its so sexy

    🐬 The complete thing:

    • Render of the final edit - i filtered the cube a bit to lighten it up, did a true endless loop animation, did some sparkle effects and also did slight lazer chromatic lighting on edges

Part of my animation series for song snippets off my album for promo and creativity, here's the full thing in its final form:

    • u can see my other 3D animation shorts here in this playlist:

    youtube.com/playlist?list=PLXlO5QCX__bSgF4cQeKo3dEBvCApPIz0D

💡 For those that want to know!

    • I use Blender mainly for my animations and models - i either custom make them or get free to use assets that i then edit and fit to be cohesive and of quality - and in Blender i do scene set up and create models in it + where the final rendering usually happens

    Other programs i use:

ZBrush + Adobe 3D Substance Painter (texturing models), Accurig (to animate and rig models), Gimp + Adobe Photoshop (for 2D assets and fine detail), Magix Video Pro X (for video editing and filters), Capcut (for effects and video asset cropping) & I sometimes will use Unity for scene set up and logic trees for the occasional more complex scene n project!

    • I do animations and modeling mainly for myself but sometimes I do it for others as well, while my sidejob i do music enginering for people + sell loop packs and do the occasional beat sale / co-production. and i put out my first personal music project in October last year, which i make visualizers and 3d animations for to put on my youtube and other various social medias. I'm currently working on my 2nd music album while i finsih the animations for my 1st - I've done 5 animations now out of the 7 i want to do. As well as I've done 2 visualizers out of the 3 or 4 I think I want to do as well.

Idk when the next animation will happen, but i'll post it itt whenever the process starts for it. im thinking about doing higher quality raw gif versions of my older music animations too, so if i do that those will also get psoted itt eventually - n imma stick around the thread in general to see what others are doing too

So I’ll be showcasing my art for the first time in an exhibition on may 1st.

I’ve submitted to the biggest culture art show in our city , I should get accepted to that one aswell , looking at submitting in 2 more.

Basically just grinding and experimenting and building a body of work. And exploring my style. Rn I saw this current body of work helped me get into the groove of things , now I want to push it in a new direction.

Seems like networking is going well, many artist and slowing discovering me in a short amount of time, and there are people of interest that I’m running into with opportunities to give. Like this one curator says I’m on track with getting a solo show in October under the non for profit art organization that she works for.

Interesting and difficult year it’s gonna be but I’M HUNGRY
