i guess these colors will do but im still not sure tbh
2/3 of this crew kinda done tho
Duuuuuuudes I finally finished page 3 and I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. I learned a lot in the process of making it.

i see you fam
still need that pink haired girl tho we on to blue haired ones now
just about done with her design. the 'interwoven' state is something ive thought about for a while now for this character but finally drew. the design for her relic set is just one small item x6 so ill just update this post once i finish it.
theres 1 guy left for this thing but i think it would be fun to have another Dreamcast spiritual successor project going on in the bg like with my AEROSOL OFFSET!/JSR thing. this time though i want to do it for Power Stone and try to learn something from that classic Capcom design sense

I felt good when I finished it but was swiftly humbled by some very mean negative feedback so that means a lot man. Not that the negative feedback got to me but, you know just the mean part

that sucks man but yeah, like you said, not letting it get to you and continuing to push through is the mindset
Progress on page 4.
In retrospect, 3 wasn’t that good. The background is okay but I see the lack of ‘appeal’ in the character now.
I know I need to take a break and work on something aside from this but man It’s actually hard
Ngl I might have screwed myself cause I was just trying something different with that style of textboxing to see how it would look. I like it, but it really doesn’t leave much room for any meaningful type of background. Any pointers, @Thread_Critic_PhD

i think you could still draw separate panels around the two characters and their word bubbles in the middle and maybe one wide panel for the interaction at the bottom (all behind the main character illustration of course) but you might have to adjust the height levels of the characters down there though idk if she's that much taller than him
not great, but just messing around
(the reddit logo is easy to draw. i don't love reddit like that )
I've been making my own cover art for my singles this year. Been taking the photos myself, editing them and all that.

Some very cool logo ideas there. The space ship, cassette tape and vomiting cloud are very neat. You should make more like that imo
Planning something big. I see the path all I gotta do is paint. Paint a whole f***ing lot. Gonna go buy canvases and paint tmr and get started. I’m excited and it’s getting kinda scary that I might actually achieve my goals
I‘m rooting for you

appreciate it fam. been copying ideas from what i've seen online, so none of the ideas are original
once my skills improve somewhat, i'll focus on originality

Absolutely no shame in that man that’s where all good journeys start. Copying/tracing is the biggest learning hack. in Fact Ive been practicing tracing some work and will post it in a few
Fist thing is, I finished page 4. This is far from a traditional page layout, but I wanted to experiment with using a video game style dialogue paneling. I actually don't hate how this turned out.
As much as I'd like to celebrate, I've been getting a lot of negative feedback about my artstyle. Part of me wants to say f*** them, and I'm still just starting off and finding my style, which is true, but thats not a healthy attitude to foster all the time. So I'm taking the next month off to grind my artstyle, and become more confident and competent in what I'm actually doing. Bottom line... I need to get better.
So the next 30 days is going to look like a whole lot of tracing, and this is the first product of that. Making the outline was easy, but figuring out how to convey the volume and form within the body was the challenge, but I eventually started to get a good feel from it and learned a lot.
Also, something I was doing for fun.
