This is the WIP of the redo. Just noticed those grease stains in the corner and feel like real deal killing myself but I can probably shop them out, maybe.

This made with charcoal? I just got some charcoal the other day, I've been meaning to experiment with it for a long time.

Yep. I also used an eraser to create the "lighting" of the body. I'll warn you, it's tedious and time consuming. However, it is fun tho

Meant to say this character looks awesome but the top of the head seems a bit flat unless I'm missing something

there's been something wrong with it for a while now and i couldnt put my finger on it but that might be it. her head is kinda flat on top but the current perspective just might be too off to ignore

Ohh, now I get it. I was thinking she might have been a robotic type character from the "grooves" on the side of her head or something. If the top of her head is just flat, then I say commit to it. But without the context of the character sheet I was a bit confused.

im still going to try some different angles before i get too far into it (only in the middle of doing the flats atm)

Couldn't tell till I scrolled back up to the other one, looks even better. Glad you kept the flat head.

WIP 2/3. Gonna fill in the black parts digitally cause its way to much ink to lay down with marker.

yeah it was just some minor changes that i feel made a bigger difference (smaller head size + moving it up, slightly exposing more neck but keeping the slightly cleaned up loc pigtails where they were + having the line texture of the braided locs on top match them + smugger expression + various linework cleanup)
