Yeah I’m working in big law next summer and ngl the hours scare me a little. Probably gonna work biglaw for 2-3 years then bounce to something closer to a 9-5. But I’m gonna savor those paychecks tho

My little brother is in Ottawa for Law

Two years in, the best way I can summarize the professional world is like its trying to be the leading scorer on a team full of ball hogs.

When you’re growing up and in school you’re constantly getting set up to score. You still have to make the play, but those chances are kind of created for you.

In the professional world you could be better then everyone around you, but none of them are going to pass you the ball and allow you to show what you can do. You gotta snatch the rock and attack the basket yourself.

It’s nice to set up other people with assists, but just know they won’t be returning favor.

If you are lone wolfing your job hunt it is really tough bro

It’s all about networking and getting people to bring you through the door; however, don’t give up my G. You will land

How hard is it relocating to another country/continent?

Like I consider moving sometimes but the whole barriers of learning a new culture and being there on your own. All that.
