We will be seeing a lot more animation projects now

You and twitch need to reboot boondocks. I'll distribute it and pay y'all $5 residual every 6 months

“How long could this possible last?”

Smash cut, cue title card 18 months later

Just scrolled through IMDB. Nvm that post, hella projects are probably starting or are in the middle of production

Yeah, it's nuts. Like, Deadpool 3 was one of the only movies I knew of being completed and not put on halt, and that's still filming.

This is a contract that’s gonna set the Hollywood standards for potentially the next 20-30 years, and considering just how f***ing psychotic execs are nowadays especially, who knows how long they’re willing to dig their heels in.

I guess it’ll depend on how pissed shareholders get.

For shows on tv, writers would get residuals for every rerun of the episodes

But in the streaming era, writers are only get like 1 check a year for their work

This video explains it all really well, if you want to see them talk about modern day residuals skip to 7:40

Zaslav, Iger, and Netflix Exec held emergency call with the government...they wanted them to step in and prevent the strike

    https://screenrant.com/actors-strike-federal-assistance-mediators-request/

Would the govt even step in?

This greed s*** is going too far lmao, would it really hurt these corporations to budge to the demands? These execs are braindead

If so I'm paying myself $25 million

  • Jul 13, 2023

Do these execs even watch movies or enjoy anything creative?

Like before you’d hear stories of (still f***ing evil) studio execs who, at least, had favorite filmmakers who they’d prop up or pour resources into simply because they personally wanted to see what they would cook up next (even if they knew it likely wouldn’t be a financial success), but now this current crop doesn’t seem to even have that.

Jon Voight and Michael Madsen are the two “big” names not in the SAG so that should give you an idea.

I am soo in for the Michael Madsen takeover

Why do you think so many of the big movie studios pulled out months ago?

Now it's really a comic con. It's original purpose lol
