    To answer your first question…. it’s reported that Bob Iger earns over $25 million a year, a lotttt of that money could be going to writers instead . If Disney can pay their execs several millions a year, they can absolutely afford to pay living wages for writers

    And for your second question…the stars are the ones who sell the tickets, a movie with s***ty writing can still do decent numbers if it has popular stars in it.
    I’m not saying it’s right, but it’s just the unfortunate truth tbh

    For shows on tv, writers would get residuals for every rerun of the episodes

    But in the streaming era, writers are only get like 1 check a year for their work
