TheWordSoonPlain and simple it sounds like a group of peoples pockets were hurting because they don’t know how to manage an abundance of money so they got together and agreed for a strike because they think it’ll pay off. if this strike does pay off for them, get ready for 20$+ movie ticket prices. These celebrities and artists are getting greedy af and I think this strike needs to fail for them to realize that.

Hello Xtal,
As a writer for several Tubi shows, I feel compelled to express my deep concern about this post, which I find offensive. My profession involves providing laughter and entertainment to people worldwide, while the top executives of these companies earn millions each year seemingly without much effort. Currently, I have three children and two full-size dogs, all of whom I cherish dearly. However, due to the ongoing strike, it has become challenging for me to afford basic necessities. So, the next time you visit In-N-Out, I kindly ask you to spare a thought for me and my kids in these difficult times.

we shouldn't be scoffing and turning our nose at any kind of labour organisation and any sector forcing the executives making hundreds of millions of dollars in bonuses (while steadily lowering wages) to sit at the table and strike up a more moral distribution of the money, and one that isn't leaving large swaths of people creating the entertainment we love without a living wage.
yes its not THE people doing the hardest jobs on earth but you have the biggest celebrities in the world advocating for farer pay for the lowest paid workers in their fields. these things create action across different workforces, set precedents and inspire action
there's a reason you aren't seeing other unions getting on social media and laughing at the fact they're 'just actors and writers' or 'aren't in diamond mines' or saying things like 'shut up and write'
these things are good for all unions and all organisations that protect workers and advocate for worker rights/higher pay etc.
also even beyond comparing them to jobs that are obviously much more demanding and with much less pay....
you watch movies and tv. have movies you love and tv shows you love. completely useless and amoral to be like 'shut up and write my movies and shows and stop crying about pay'. that's nothing
