Imagine if reality stars went on strike.
The studio shambolics would be legendary.
Hollywood is dying so they might as well
All tv writers contribute to society is more efificent distractions
Its not a career we should prop up as deserving of being able to be financially well off

This will be the last straw for execs
Wow
I do support the strike
But imo there's a lot of industries in worse situations which I sympathize with more
Next goal things wrapped before covid
Gotta be one of the only films to be delayed from pre covid to post Hollywood strike

We’re talking about them being able to live off their work not them being well off no one is saying writers should have 100k+ sitting in their checking account

It’s not about being rich it’s about being able to work in this profession and being able to afford basic things like rent and healthcare
A lot of these writers and actors (not A-List ofc) work multiple jobs

15%ish then goes to a manager
15%ish on an agent
then LA living costs which are ridiculous
very many actors and writers have multiple jobs, ineligible for healthcare, without a living wage while the studio heads, CEO's and executives are making 100s of millions of dollars and taking huge bonuses off of the content that the actors and writers are creating.

60k in LA and New York is nothing when you count for cost of living for those areas. That plus manager/agent fees
Eeeeh I don't see how you would get a residual over something like this. But I agree in general
