What's the studio's deal
Hopefully this won’t end with a huge swath of cancellations.
For network television? It most certainly will. Streaming & cable won’t be hit as hard though
the streaming era of television means the strike won’t be felt as quickly or even as impactful as the 2007 one
Netflix, Apple, Amazon, etc. already have plenty of scripted shows in the tank that will now probably get earlier premiere dates than what was originally planned for them. There will also probably be a push towards more foreign language scripted television from the streamers.
the most damage it will do is towards network & cable, but primarily network for obvious reasons
all that being said, this can also be a very brief strike as long as the 2 sides can have a healthy cooperation in negotiations. I’d like to think the massively negative impact of the 2007 one will mean that there will be a much more active push towards getting a deal done quickly this time around
does that mean no more effort posts from @krishna_bound
Dude, bearded Conan was such a look. I miss him.
f*** man i love him, if conan was still on late night i would watch it every night

did movie and tv come back better after the first strike?
i ain’t even know it was a thing when i was a kid but seeing what movies specifically came out of it like transformers 2 and dragonball it makes so much sense
NOOOOOOOOOO
i remember the last one im not going back
Only recently found out actors on streamers don't even get residuals. Now imagine writers on said show.
