"Kept it real tight like yo son" is a bar too because you (the listener) dont know if hes talking about donda's son (kanye west) or gods son (jesus christ)
I Agree maybe we got some big head geniuses on KTT (we don't) but my initial reaction was this
there wasn't much to the first beat. was pretty basic and stayed the same the whole time. I don't even remember him playing Keems whole verse too so that would have been overkill for the same repetitive thing. it was cool while we had it but final version superior
Keem flows better over them funeral organs too. LP2 completely swapped the beat while final gave us a mix of everything (other than the original drums iirc)
Ok, Listening to LP1 version again…
Hm… there’s lots of repetitive hi hats
Glad those are removed.
Those vocal effects at the end of Travs verse are cool
Instrumental getting a little repetitive at this point… glad they switched it up to the organs in the 2nd version.
Now the song is over.
Nah, you got Snippet Sydrome boy
only things i would change on donda would be to add Push and Kanye verses back to Donda/South Carolina, add a Hurricane Pt. 2 with OG beat, make the Heaven and Hell choir drop as hard as the LP 2 drop, and remove the crackling on Shensea outro of Pure Souls.
na
first beat sets the mood
then keem with the organs i think it takes a lil bit of getting used to cus the choir sample was crazy during his auto tune part n tbh that’s the only segment i wish remained the same
but otherwise the organs feel rly grand for keems verse and i like that
I choose to believe Trav says “tummy take two when I’m on one” foreshadowing his next kid
I disagree, the song got better each time. LP2 had the organs throughout the whole beat which was a great addition but a lil repetitive and then for the final version i like how the organs only come in for Keems verse, makes it more dynamic
And having Ye say "The devil my opp" made it 2x harder
Only song i think got worse is Pure Souls, that piano was too good and i honestly prefer no drums on it. Also I think the Ye verse was better on it. I made a version with the LP1 version and shenseea outro tho so its all good
Travis really just says nonsense
I’m not sure if admitting you couldn’t understand a Travis verse is in your best interest

Yeah, this life I'm livin' (I'm livin')
Travis lives life
All the advice been tipped in (That thang)
Travis gets advice
Gave me that grip, no slippin' (That grip)
Travis has s***Out of my mind, went trippin' (My mind)
Travis takes d****
Tell me take two when I'm on one (I'm on)
Travis takes a lot of d****
That lookout like no one
Travis has dilligent bodyguards
Kept it real tight like your son (Your son)
Yeah (La Flame)
He cares more about the sound, okay cool I like Cocteau Twins but at least make ur s*** interesting. I know its not the song for him to do a whole lyrical verse (although he should make a better verse for a kanye project) but this is how all of his songs are now
idk if i have severe demoitis for this song or what but i cannot get into the organ/replaced 808s at all for the final version
I love both, need a combined version imo

Okay so all of that makes perfect sense? Thought u said it didn’t make any sense
the organs kinda get repititive throughout the album for me on some listens but here i really like it
only song that sounds too stripped back from other versions is jesus lord. really wish they didnt dial back the synths, really love the las vegas version
"Kept it real tight like yo son" is a bar too because you (the listener) dont know if hes talking about donda's son (kanye west) or gods son (jesus christ)
that bar is
If baby keem wasn’t bullshitting for a minute & a half & Kanye had a verse somewhere in there it wouleve been top 5 donda
demoitis is a serious illness
how you gonna say the version without those 808s is better
