This game worth getting on the Switch?
in the metroidvania fandom this is being called a top 3 of all time up there with Metroid dread and hollow knight, if you like that style then pick it up. If you aren’t sure then maybe watch some reviews or try the demo
Switch performance has been solid 60fps in handheld mode btw, and it looks crisp on the oled

The developers made this game with the Switch in mind first, that’s why it runs so well
just deleted this

Get out my damn thread and get the damn game rey or I swear to goodness!
yeah the treasure amulet is a game changer, it’s an icon that pulses faster as you get closer to the chest, so really helpful for finding an exact location or just knowing if there’s something you have to do nearby

He makes a good point
People know Ubisoft’s quality has gone down the drain and have trained their customers to not buy their games until their dirt cheap
A studio can FINALLY release a quality game, but if the consumers don’t have trust in them and won’t buy it, how is the game gonna be successful?

just finished this, it took about 12.5 hours. it was okay, i didn't really feel all that compelled to do any of the side content so skipped it all pretty much. glad i waited for the steam sale. i'm usually not that into puzzles or platforming but i found both to be pretty fun and creative. even though it only took 12.5 hours i did feel like it started to drag towards the end. i ended up switching to easy after the orod fight, who was blocking the last summon cause i was starting to get bored and just wanted to finish it
the boss designs were actually surprisingly challenging. some of them took me more attempts than shadow of the erdtree bosses but that probably has more to do with me not playing a whole lot of 2d games. probably would've been stuck on the final boss for a bit if i had switched back to normal but i was looking to be done with it today
i found the story and the upgrades to be the weakest part of the game. the story was pretty by the numbers and predictable tbh. none of the upgrades or amulets felt meaningful at all to me. i can't say i ever felt significantly stronger except for when i returned to early game areas. maybe i wasn't using the tool set to it's fullest though idk
not gonna play the dlc but it was enjoyable enough
Started playing this game yesterday, I'm low-key f***ing with this heavy. The writing is f***ing ass, but besides that the gameplay is really really solid. Controls are very snappy, the map is a ton of fun to explore with very interesting areas. The puzzles are quick, interesting and do not break the gameplay flow. Platforming feels like SoT-era applied to this 2D metroidvania style.Combat is definitely the best this series has gotten, not that it's the highest bar but still. I've enjoyed the boss battles a lot, it's a ton of fun learning their movesets and nailing down parrying. Lots of unlockables, just a really solid game all-in-all. Can't wait to play more! Glad to see my childhood favorite series make a comeback like this. Need to play this Rogue PoP game too. Seems to be a very exciting game for this series, I love that it's getting a very fresh point-of-view from all these different devs. Brings so much that is new.
