Damn I didn't know nbome was so dangerous just looked it up, I've done it a few times and the trips can get pretty twisted.

I feel like regulating d**** and selling them responsibly, testing them measuring the dose and providing accurate warnings would be a big step towards making them safer

I also think if shrooms or lsd were legal no one would ever do nbome lmao

I always enjoyed every trip from the 4 nboms I tried, used to get the 50/50 type double tabs if that makes sense too, was real fun, but yeah it's just dangerous at too high a dose but also just randomly can cause someone to drop dead

Agreed on l and shrooms, there's a place for 2cb as well and I understand DOx d**** are great for festivals but that's basically it too

How would these rehabilitation centers be different from prison lol.

They would be staffed by trained specialists to help those people as opposed to power tripping guards who face no consequences and have no incentive to treat the inmates as human

Right but how would a rehabilitation center actually be different. How would you rehabilitate a theif lol

How do you think normal rehab centers work? Do you think they just get everyone in a circle and say “hey d**** are bad?” They help them create healthy habits and address the issues that led to those dependences in the first place

One of my best friends caught a d*** charge, once he got into the system he has never been the same, and has been in and out of prison for years. I know prison wasn’t the solution for him.

There needs to be decriminalization of all d*** related charges, minus the distribution of deadly d**** (fent, laced s***, etc). Send them to a rehab facility instead and help them heal. They’re all just broken.

Save prison for killers, hate crimes, rapists, etc. Once inside, there needs to be better ways to acclimate people back to society rather than just destroy their spirit. They’ll just re offend if they get out. In those events, they’ve just got to stay in for life.

It will never happen here though. People are too selfish to want to pay more taxes to help people they see as lesser than them. I get not wanting to pay more to help a convicted killer or rapist have a more comforted prison life, but ultimately, the fellow man will never change unless they have assistance to get there.

    Great read. Ty for typing

    Also sry about your friend

once you realize most people in & out of jail are just mentally ill people wandering around it’s becomes more about rehabilitation, prisons are tricky to me cause some people have done s*** out of survival but others are heinous premeditated s*** or psychological abuse

In general the punishments should be lighter for smaller offenses and heavier for serious offenses

They already exist in the form of parole, probation and other community orders. Whether a person gets them depends on their criminal history as well as the nature of the crime

Parole/probation is tricky cause you got situations like Meek Mill’s where that s*** was set up for him to fail from the start.

Alternatives to prison should essentially be different types rehabilitation facilities/treatment centres (e.g. one for dv assailants, one for consistent shoplifters, one for dealers of serious d****, etc)

Actual prison should be reserved for rapists and first degree murderers

    what is prison to you?

we shouldn’t abolish prisons for the following reason:

-in colloquial usage, a prison is where offenders are taken to be separate for society. Offenders = law breakers

-therefore as long as people in need of rehabilitation (most people who are imprisoned) are in any way removed, they are functionally imprisoned

this is why, to my perception, most ‘prison abolitionists’ dont want to really abolish the act of removing offenders from society until rehabilitated. They oppose the american penitentiary system, but this framing ultimately turns off the public and makes them look crazier than they are

Calling it prison abolition is therefore flawed framing. i believe it should be ‘depenitentialisation’ or ‘decarceration’
