Again it seems like you're actively trying to get people to dislike these guys a little bit

ive never seen uzi show any political belief let alone one in line with punk

I wish all these new age rapper would just say theyre the new pop punk, because that I can agree with (though theyre no militarie gun)

osama and nett have that 2016 soundcloud era energy that uzi and carti had, it was the attitude, fashion, counterculture, disruption of tradition etc.. they got hated on it then and the cycle is simply repeating

    "punk is fashion and soundcloud"

nothing about any of these dudes is counterculture. being rap that isnt boombap isnt counterculture. you are describing mainstream pop punk.

I already posted like 7 modern punk musicians on page 1, would you like me to post more with a broader variety?

even being broad, knocked looses album this year is closer than any of these dudes if you need it to be mainstream (outsold taylor swift on first day sales, 3 sold out tours 1 year)

there is no family or community that comes with these scenes, just people on the internet who like the music alone

why dont you guys ever show love to groups like soul glo, instead of handing this to internet rappers

Every time there's a new generation of rappers now they get described as punk

Not because there are any similarities to punk

But just because it sounds cool to say

i don’t think he meant it literally, he’s just using the term to describe where their place in hip-hop is, the sound is abrasive and nonconformist compared to their mainstream contemporaries like i guess he could’ve used a more pc term but it’s just semantics at that point most ppl know what he means

Nothing about this song in OP is an abrasive and non conformist in 2024. Not the prod, not the rapping, nothing.

next gen want to be seen as disrupters, that’s always the case in music & in most things I feel like

At what point is considering yourself a rebel so expected and regular that it ironically makes you seem like you’re just falling into line? Because I believe that threshold was breached years ago
