first time gosling hits head and he puts him in med unit then falls asleep for a while “ I’ll be here just wake up “ . Then final time with leak slow death potential and slamming on door

still not nearly as bad as avatar thank god. I don’t feel the part where Gosling went back to save Rocky stuck in his ship as a “Rocky might die!” moment. Just feels they showed him being selfless to go save Rocky and his planet as well compared to the start where he didn’t even wanna volunteer to go.

Can’t believe they pass Arrakis in this and never stop to visit

gosling was crying knocking on the window thing and there was no sign of Rocky for a bit. It’s not as bad as other moment but essentially the main stakes they know they have or death so they play with it with both characters for a while

I do miss the times of district 9 , annihilation , children of men and random sci-fi one offs that raise many questions and themes . I feel with sci-fi when the budget is this high they have to serve the most common denominator often to make the most returns . Horror overall dominating recently but hope we get more sci-fi . I think reality has gotten so dark people avoid robots , ai , possible dystopias unless it’s feel good

Soundtrack was great

The humor didn’t land for me most of the time and I felt the length. The score was great though.
