Honestly it was a long ass movie too. I felt like this s*** could have easily been 1:55 max. At almost 3 hours I'm not even sure kids today would have the attention span or really gaf about the technical aspects of the film

Besides being a sci fi kid or liking the Christopher miller and Phil lord humor I'm not sure kids will be drawn to this like IP
franchises like Mario and spider man. Yes it's still based on a book but I'm not sure that many kids have read project Hail Mary or may they have and I'm just uncultured swine.

Maybe it finds a longtime audience in the book being incorporated into middle school reading/english classes lesson plans and the teachers playing the movie at the end of the book. I didn't know it was an Amazon movie so it will likely end up on prime by summer blockbuster window
