Everytime I listen to a psych album I hope it sounds like this and it just ends up sounding like every other crusty white guy tripping balls with a guitar
you should probably start checking out jazz albums then cause thats more what that is
i get worn out on dudes with guitars tripping balls too, alot of my favourites are more studio concoctions like this
this too

Might anyone have a Spotify playlist with these?
EDIT I should share this playlist: Trish Keenan’s Mind Bending Motorway Mix. Bunch of psych rock songs she burned to a CD before she died. Incredible mix.

Always loved this jam. Is there anything out there similar to it? Both old and new. Mind you, I’m a noob when it comes to psychedelic rock/pop

i guess early tame impala is relevant enough to this thread tbh. and rock like king gizzard that is like the old style. just not like fishmans or animal collective or something
i let a few 70s ones sneak in there
from 1982:
middle aged guy has midlife crisis and decides to hire musicians and make a 60s style psych rock album in a cabin in the woods. and its amazing
🌸 ✌️
John Du Cann guitar was so good, especially in Andromeda and Atomic Rooster later. rooster not really psych tho

it’s not that it’s just boring and narrow down it gets
ur question sounds oddly specific tho lol i like some spoonful love of buffalo springfield alright, i do got me a simon garfunkel disco boxset
maybe some few others idk i literally just woke up but to make it short anyway of the stuff i listen from that era are really either surf acts (so mostly instrumental stuff - a lot of them) or doowop/soul/motown acts (the temptations, supremes and a million others)
