OP, I’ve been busy responding to a few of these idiots in this thread, but I’ll give you a few things that helped me land a job on Wall Street.

• A lot of successful people are willing to help you learn. There’s so many people on LinkedIn that would be willing to jump on a call with you to give you advice. Just make sure you are asking to learn, not for favors. This will also help you develop a strong network of likeminded people, which is a good environment to surround yourself in.

• Having a strong understanding of a concept is better than producing results immediately. So I’m assuming you’re looking to start a business rather than get a job, but it applies in both scenarios. If you have a strong understanding of business concepts, whether it’s real estate or landing a good job, if you are well-versed in the area you’re pursuing, you’ll see results eventually. You have to learn how to accept rejection & loss, but those who know what they’re doing will win in the end. TLDR it’s cliche, but don’t give up and learn as much as you can.

• Google really is your friend. Do not pay for courses. There are no get rich quick schemes. If there were, everybody would do it and it would no longer work. Why would someone sell you their millionaire-maker method for $399? It’s all a scam. You can learn literally anything & everything by using Google & YouTube. You’ll learn how to sift through the bullshit as you go. But as a general rule of thumb, avoid anyone who’s trying to sell you s***. If they sell courses and stuff on the side, that’s fine, but if they’re pushing it down your throat and gatekeeping information from you, they’re not a good resource.

• Being able to sell yourself is huge. Whether it’s your career profile or a business idea, you have to learn how to translate what you’re doing in a way that others will understand. At the end of the day you’re interacting with other humans, so being able to connect with them on a personal level & lay out what you bring to the table is crucial.

The dude been replying to all my posts for a min now and spreading false rumors and i just think it’s better if we just sort that s*** out but you’re right, probably shouldn’t have derailed the thread for that.

Yeah a lot of people are willing to connect with you and help. I have like 1,200 connections on LinkedIn, I probably only know 200ish of them. I’ve sat on calls with randoms plenty of times, on both sides of the spectrum
