it's definitely a reasonable choice. absolute classic.

I agree, but once you play Infamous you are trapped in this dark atmosphere that best portrays the reality of Havoc and Prodigy. Plus they were 18 when they recorded that s***. It's unreal

I've never visited New York but everytime I play Illmatic I'm teleported in Queens and I hear autobiographical tales of criminality, gangsters, ghettos, d****, prisons. Nas was a scarred young man too when he developed the third eye, most of the album was written during his adolescence.

All I’m saying is there’s people who worship this group

And they maybe got 5 classics out of their vast catalog

& half the group never got any shine

    yeah this is true

i think the cultural influence is also a big aspect of it though as well

inspectah deck never got the shine he should have, its a shame his debut got lost in the flood. He was never able to get the solo attention but I'm a big fan of his stuff this past decade with 7L and Esoteric as CZARFACE

masta killa always had some great verses as well

    Yes

I’m not denying the greatness they have become, and their influence is huge, just think people don’t take into consideration that their greatest work is just a fraction of the whole groups body of work

let's keep it a buck if anything it's a collaboration album for all intents and purposes.

This. Its the best album between the two in my opinion. Ghost even has his own song on the album. Like wtf.
