Them niggas just ain’t rapping on the level of Nas on Illmatic lol. Most of the verses are out of this world. I do enjoy the infamous more sometimes like I enjoy a lot of albums from the 90s more. I get why Illmatic is held on such a high pedestal though

In terms of mic performance, yes. Nas was the better lyricist As a whole project It doesn't hold imo.
Havoc has changed the sound of hip hop radically with his production on the Infamous: distorted synths, piano loops... etc. They were all started or refined by Havoc. I agree, but once you play Infamous you are trapped in this dark atmosphere that best portrays the reality of Havoc and Prodigy. Plus they were 18 when they recorded that s***. It's unreal
