You'd really put Nostalgia near the bottom?

Also how long did it take you to fully appreciate Mirror and Rublev?

Nostalgia more middle but Solaris is definitely at the bottom for me

Saw Solaris way before I saw the other ones and it almost put me off Tark entirely tbh. First Rublev watch was the s***ty old dvd which didn't look amazing so first watch didnt hit that hard but first HD watch was stunning.

Maybe it was the shrooms but I deadass knew from the first couple minutes of Mirror that I was in for a life changing experience and the feeling didn't let up until the moment it ended plenty of sober watches since then have not dulled it's impact. Immediately jumped to my top 5 all time and stayed there.

Yeah it could be, I watched Dead Man a year before getting to all the others so there’s a disconnect there and I’m due for a revisit

Incendies is hella overrated IMO. I didn’t feel like the characters had a lot of depth, they just felt like vehicles for suffering. I feel like it gets a lot of credit for having a really dark twist, but it just didn’t make me feel anything.

I think it takes multiple viewings to fully appreciate a Kubrick film and I've only seen it once so there's that. But also I didn't enjoy Peter Seller's overacting in some parts (as the titular character) and I didn't find it initially to be as well directed as what I have in the top 7 aside from the excellent sets.
