idk, I feel like if I want a romance story about a couple on the road or on the run or whatever, Malick did it way better with Days of Heaven
Well Days of Heaven is a romance but its also damn near biblical in its scale, along with swarm of locusts. Of course your entitled to your opinion but to critique it for being "extremely straight forward" isnt it

I feel like i’m ALWAYS the only one to have Black Swan be near the bottom of Aronofsky filmography
I really liked the film and would give it a great score but all his films are great (haven’t seen Noah) and i don’t particulary think Black Swan lives up to all the hype
But everybody i ever talk to has it as their #1

I think it's cool if it just a case of liking the others more, he has a bunch of great films

For me the romance of Badlands is in their youth instead of their connection, that they can live the life they do because they believe they love each other enough to overcome all obstacles

Being a big Michael Mann fan too I don’t agree that Miami Vice is a 10/10 but I do agree that it is extremely underrated. I’d prolly give it around a 8.5/10
Here I’ll give this a shot. I’m only gonna include films I know extremely well (meaning I’ve seen it more than once)…..so if I don’t rank a film it’s because I haven’t seen it enough times or haven’t seen ‘em at all. I believe a film needs time to set in with multiple watches to really grasp its true essence in full. Also I’ll give my rating for each of my favorite movies from each director.

Why you only rate the top spot though Not tryna be a smartass or anything bro it's just like either give everything a score or none at all imo cause the scores can at least give us an indication of which films you enjoyed feel me

Lol was too lazy to finish tbh. I got em ranked in order from most to least favorite tho. But majority of the films I listed I enjoy besides like The Laundromat.
I’ll prolly go through ina bit and give em all scores.

Our ranking couldn't be more opposite which is fine but still mirror is the zenith
Take some shrooms next watch

You'd really put Nostalgia near the bottom?
Also how long did it take you to fully appreciate Mirror and Rublev?
