    Scorsese

    Gangs of New York
    Goodfellas
    Taxi Driver
    Casino
    Bringing Out the Dead
    The Irishman
    Raging Bull
    The Departed
    The Aviator
    Wolf of Wall Street

Been too long since I've seen Mean Streets and Cape Fear so I won't rank them. Never seen Silence, Shutter Island or Kundun.

    Mann

    Heat
    Thief
    Collateral
    Miami Vice
    Last of the Mohicans
    Public Enemies

Which order are your lists in? And you need to watch Silence, it's honestly my favorite Scorsese film.

There are still only a few directors I've seen enough films to do this for, because I didn't get really into cinema in a serious way until this past summer but:
    Scorsese
    1. Silence
    2. Goodfellas
    3. Taxi Driver
    4. The Wolf of Wall Street
    5. Raging Bull
    6. The Departed
    7. Mean Streets
    8. Gangs of New York
    9. The Irishman
    10. Shutter Island
    11. Casino
    12. The Aviator
    13. The King of Comedy
    14. Cape Fear
    15. Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore (this could move up a bit tho)
    16. Bringing Out The Dead
    17. Who's That Knocking at My Door
    18. Boxcar Bertha

    Quentin Tarantino
    1. Pulp Fiction
    2. Once Upon a Time... In Hollywood
    3. The Hateful Eight
    4. Inglourious Basterds
    5. Django Unchained
    6. Reservoir Dogs

    3. A Fistful of Dollars
    4. For a Few Dollars More

Ooh, I'd love to hear your thoughts on Bringing Out The Dead, because that's honestly not one that I'm too fond of, but I'd be interested in why you think it's so good, and maybe it'll change my view on it.

i just like the trippy/dark vibe of it. i'm from nyc, so the whole thing feels very familiar.

also a lot of real paramedics that work the graveyard shift have praised the movie for being so accurate. they see a lot of crazy s***.

That's interesting to hear about the real life paramedics. God, that must be a nightmare job sometimes. I can get the dark and trippy vibes thing. Having only watched it once, it felt kind of tonally one-note to me personally, and Robert Richardson's whole ray-of-light cinematography style is always a bit hit and miss for me, and I don't love it in this film. However, I enjoyed Nic Cage's performance and appreciated Scorsese going down a weirder path for that one.
