Just cause I have very little to no interest in a nigga who left rap twice for five years and three years to be an actor, 2-3 TDE weed carriers, and a TDE reject dropping forgettable "diss tracks" at one another in a desperate attempt to spark a weak east coast vs west coast beef in BIG 2025 for attention...doesn't mean I don't care about rap music. It's been obvious since the very beginning of this s*** that Joey was only tryna go at Kendrick, Cole, and Drake at a desperate grab for relevance before he dropped whatever likely mid album he's planning to drop this year. Nigga knows that he been gone for so long after his last mid album 2000 that he gotta do something to get people to care about him and tap in. Even if it means tryna manufacture some lame beef/battle.

The real fans of hip hop are going to enjoy the good music and also these beefs. I get being annoyed at the folks gassing one or the other, but plenty of us enjoy the underground guys like siifu and them, while also enjoying these sparring sessions

yea its not a zero sum game. I think stuff like this is good for hip-hop because it's nice to see people paying attention to lyrics without it turning into a personal info reveal-off like big mainstream beefs had become in the past few years. and as long as it doesn't spiral into something serious I'd call it a win. it also has joey more focused on music which is probably good for new york and for rap fans in general because it feels like he's been only halfway in the pool for almost a decade at this point
