I also think someone ITT tried to disrespect Anderson Paak, whoever that was I'm gonna have to ban them for a month and let them reevaluate their life :yeslawd:
Better question would be which RnB artists can actually sang. In 2020, they’re mostly low-fi cursive murmuring.. Either half talking or whispering incoherent sentiments over spacey atmospheric PND beats.
I’m ready for traditional RnB artists to give us what We need😞 I hate how radio has pushed them all into the AC market, leaving us with over saturated alternative, emo ‘RnB’ wave. sigh..

After listening to a few albums from a thread of the Best R&B album of all time - album such as The Velvet Rope and Black Messiah - it wasn't clicking for me. Then I realized its because the R&B I listen to, raps a lot more. Such as The Weeknd, Teynna Taylor, Brent Faiyaz, PND, Roy Woods, Bryson Tiller, Jeremih...
So I was wondering if you guys had artist to recommend, and does this genre of music even count as R&B?
listen to tre ward

You shouldn’t go into Black Messiah with the mindset it’s gonna be the greatest r&b album, it’s way more funk/soul
Black messiah aint clickin?
Vocals are pretty hard to adjust to in my experience, and it’s way left field of the r&b bro listens to lol
