I see what you're saying but that actually goes into what I was trying to say in the op is if those types of "experiences" end up feeling transactional because the one your with is just there for the money as opposed to them liking you for you as an average joe

I’d take the 2nd option. I got a big family and it makes having more experiences easier and cheaper
