Material things will forever be unable to compete with the relationships that give them value
Honestly I think as humans were wired, or at least meant to be, to value relationships over monetary things but obviously everyone is different and things have changed
i don’t think “things have changed” so much as capitalism creates the need for money for survival, thus people value money aka their survival over abstract things like relationships
Average life is so stigmatized for some reason now. I find a simple life more appealing and ultimately fulfilling
Anyone who doesn’t pick money has never actually made real money
Anyone who picks money/material over human relationships is a hollow/broken person. You can’t convince me otherwise
Both can make life fulfilling, both can be unfulfilling
relationships ofc. i see ppl with no to little friends and strained family relations, decent amount on this site too, and I think about how blessed i am to have so many friends and family that love me.
ideally both though lol. if i had my relationships i currently have and also had a f*** ton of money, it would be game over
edit: lets say i hit it massively big, convincing my friends to stop working and just come booool would be harder than i think it should be
the best things in life are free
