Kinda similar to the sewer section of RE2, almost ruins the atmosphere of the game

yeah the sewer is a bit of a dip in quality (2make is miles ahead of 7 to me still) i feel like every re game has a quality curve where they start off great and then have kind of a weak ending and all the best of the re series are the entries that mitigate that curve the best

re4 remake being an example of them smoothing that curve out the best i’ve seen so far

great point, I guess that's why 4 is so amazing almost lil to no filler
Only horror games I’ve really played is the RE series ofc & Doom 3 but I want to expand into other great games from the genre & now seems like the perfect time bc of all the remakes
I’m thinking of getting the Dead Space remake, Silent Hill 2 remake along with the other Silent Hill upcoming releases
I noticed the Alan Wake & Alone in the Dark remakes are coming as well
For anyone who’s played these games how great are they? Long as they’re worth while I’ll dive into them

Dead Space remake is 100% worth it. I never played the original but as a huge RE4 fan I had always heard good things and how similar they were. I’d say the combat in RE4 remake is better than DS but DS is wayyyy scarier while still being an action shooter rather than straight up horror.
Going for professional S+ with bonus weapons and I can’t even get passed the village fight consistently was tryna follow a save guide to keep it under 15 but I think ima save more throughout the village cuz I need it and then once I get the typewriter maxed I won’t need to save as often so it should work out to less than 15 in the end.
