Code Veronica, interesting one, it could definitely BENEFIT from it cause iirc that one aged like milk
Yeah out of all the classic ones, time wasnt kind to CV
I'm excited for this. Resi 2 Remake was really well done. I'm a fake fan though because I've only played RE4 and RE2Remake. I was shook the whole time playing though.
you should play 5 and 7 if you get a chance, both cool in their own ways tho neither holds a candle to 4 or 2
I been needing this so bad. I always wanted to play RE3 I can't stand the tank controls tho.

I never understood why the purists loved those controls so much. Say what you will about 4,5 & 6 but those controls were way better

because they make the games more tense. having heavily restricted controls helps with the tension.
don't see the issue with tank controls at all. they are not even hard to get used to.
4 and 5 had tank controls btw

From what I understand that’s not the reason why they did that though, I think it had to do with hardware limitations of some s***.
And idk, they never really made the game more or less any tense imo. RE2 2019 was hella tense with out that control scheme.
If anything was tense about the original games it was the fixed camera.
And 4 & 5’s controls were implemented differently imo

fixed camera angles were due to hardware limitations. not being able to walk and shoot was not a hardware limitation.
RE5 did implement tank controls slightly differently. RE4 is literally the exact same controls as the fixed camera games but the camera is put over the shoulder instead.
i consider RE5 to have the best controls of any RE game. it had tank controls with camera control.
not being able to run and shoot was a key aspect of tank controls. it made the games much more tense because you could not back away from the enemies whilst shooting. you had to stay in the exact same spot whilst they walked towards you.
What about Dino Crisis
AND WHERE IS PARASIT EVE
Rt
Wasnt a huge fan of parasite eve 1, but 2 was a long ass crazy ass game.
Dino crisis just straight up long overdue too.

RE5 does have the best controls, but I'm not referring to not being able to walk and shoot. I'm referring the awkwardness in how the character moves. Even stuff like doing a 180 spin to escape and run away from someone chasing you felt smoother imo

Same, I seemed to only come across people who rates the first PE higher but I think PE2 is far more original

Probably because of the first 10mins or so of PE1 lol
That first cinematic was jaw dropping at the time
I still need to play the second one. Idk why but the only time I can play zombie games is if I’m high.

I still remember the cutscene where that lady turns into that monster in the restaurant in PE2 that still looks really good today btw
I’m really curious how they gonna make RE3 remake stand out and not be a redundant gameplay of RE2 remake, and more so how are they gonna handle the whole Carlos thing in this day and age?

What Carlos thing? Never played RE3

He’s the second character of the game and you get to play him and switch inventories and what not
I could be remembering this wrong tho and confuse it with Resident Evil 0 and its gameplay
Need another remake of the first game
Nah remake holds up great still to this day, would be interesting to get an over the shoulder view like 2 remake tho
