RE4 is probably the best remake of a game ever made
its pretty good but for me its re1
for people playing these games for the first time, do yall recommend playing the original releases or the remakes for re2, 3 & 4 ?

Unless you really really love retro PS1 games I'd start with the RE2 or 4 remake

I love the originals but I’d play the remakes tbh, especially if you’re running them in the lead up to RE9. Highly recommend starting with REmake to see if you f*** with that style, but otherwise I’d do 2-4 remakes (plus 7/8), then go back and play the OGs if you enjoyed remake

If you’re starting with RE1 I’d recommend using the classic (tank) controls, took me a few mins to get used to it but it makes for a better experience imo

Oh yeah the RE1 remake is goated, just a different style of game from modern REs
Can't go wrong starting with any of the games at the end of the day. Well, most of them lol

I thought RE1 Remake was wonderful but I’ve realized over time I just can’t get with the fixed camera angle anymore. Sucks because I used to love the OG games growing up but for some reason I just can’t play them anymore lol.

Play the OG 4 before the remake. Its literally the best game ever made
Game apparently has a unlockable remixed difficulty like Madhouse from 7 when you beat it as well.
If jill isnt in this game its a bust imo. Like what are they waiting for?
Leon hasn’t been in an RE title just as long as Jill.
Final game time seems to be around 13-15 hours. Seems like the in game timer doesn’t count cutscenes and possibly menus.
Those of y'all who haven't spoiled nothing from this, I advise you not too. Game looks dope asf.

Well we have been flooded with content involving leon, its getting tiring especially when everyone wants jills story continued
Wonder if we’re gonna get any post-release updates?
Thought I remember somewhere the director mentioning the game would have something that would ensure people will be playing it for a long time.

probably a mercenary-like mode, village and 4 remake had ones added later in the cycle. pretty sure that duskgolem guy (main RE leaker) has said they're working on a story dlc too

Holding out successfully so far
One more week
More I’m seeing the more it seems like the length of the game seems to be on par with Village, maybe a little longer. Not the 15+ hour behemoth that many were hoping for (seems to average around 12-15 hours including cutscenes). Hopefully if that is the case it manages to still feel satisfying, especially given the split nature of it.
