More I’m seeing the more it seems like the length of the game seems to be on par with Village, maybe a little longer. Not the 15+ hour behemoth that many were hoping for (seems to average around 12-15 hours including cutscenes). Hopefully if that is the case it manages to still feel satisfying, especially given the split nature of it.
I prefer RE when its quick and replay-able

Yeah, as long as the pacing isn’t off given the new structure of the game.
The saying this a top 3 RE game
Whose they
And is that with or without remakes

People who’ve completed the game, and I’d assume so, though I can’t imagine there are a lot of people who’d rank the remakes significantly higher than the originals.
I’ve seen a few people say top 3, another say top 5 and the initial leaker said it was their favorite in the franchise.
Feel like this is likely to be up there with 2/4 remake tier reception, or at the very least higher than 7/8.

Some guy on Reddit who already beat the game lol that’s it
Playing RE 1 (1996) for the first time
Holds up pretty well actually
Did you already play the remake?

Jill sandwich is a phrase that refuses to leave my mind
Amazing how I know a lot of the big plot spoilers and boss fights, and yet I still feel like I know so little about the game side of the video game.
Still don’t even know all the locations. Also curious to see if the new zombie behavior aspect carries over throughout the game or if it’s a unique mechanic just for the first area.

Does it sound good
I wonder if any of the raccoon city section is at night...the trailers and footage I've seen is all from the day

Everyone playing it seems to love it, think it ought to review better than 7/8, maybe even on par with 2/4 remakes.
Story seems to get progressively more wild as it goes along, but from people playing it first hand it seems to come off fairly well, the main villain that’s been shown in the trailers apparently is an all-timer for the series.
Only criticisms I’ve seen so far seem to be predominantly from people who haven’t actually played the game themselves and are judging off of contextless plot points and disappointment/outrage about their favorite characters involvement, or lack thereof.
Typical RE fan s***, vast majority of people aren’t gonna care at all.

Yeah people are hating for no reason... Resident Evil 9 should be very good!
Grace apparently has 3 weapons. The pistol, the requiem/magnum and an unlockable TMP for future playthroughs
Seems like they’re very adamant about creating a clear dividing line between her and Leon’s sections.
