Considering Boots Riley has been in the music industry/rap with his former group The Coup since the early 90s, I'd think he'd be someone with a bit of insider knowledge more than the average person so I'd say believing him would be a fair route to go on tbh

something got worse so he decided to throw it out

    he's a hack how exactly?

like he doesn't contribute to the production behind his credits or?

well, aside from the input on yeezus he has dozens of misfires consecutively (including eminem yawnbums)

Why can’t people separate politics from what a person has contributed to music, and continues to contribute to the process of creativity. It’s ridiculous how people act like trump is the enemy of all enemies, the economy was booming when dude was in office, y’all acting ridiculous.

there has proof since like 2019 maybe earlier

    liking awful tweets

    friends with candace owens

idk if I'd call him q-anon but he's def trump right wing

idk i still bump rubin, ye & r kelly tho, gotta separate the art from the artists

    Damn thx

Yes I can separate art from artist but he is not an artist. He is Mentor or coach. This changes the way I see him because right wing Ideology and whatever he is preaching can’t really coexist with me.

Would be interesting for him to talk about politics actually. I want to understand how he is connecting his philosophy with right wing agenda.

I respect his contributions to music but being a qanon believer

what contributions. dude can't even operate a mixing board let alone pro tools let alone make any kind of mf music. dude is basically a glorified therapist

that was sort of corey's argument tbh. bro laid on a couch and mumbled vague s*** at the band the whole time. engineers did basically all the real work.

this is what he does for everyone

I was thinking of Reign in Blood when I posted that but in retrospect I believe it was Andy Wallace who did the real work producing so my bad

'cept we know cracker doesn't "produce" the way we use the term today. he literally admits to not knowing how to. producing credits can and always have meant pretty much anything, even what these beatmakers do is really musical composition and sound design and pretty much everything else outside of the artist rapping. metro didn't really just "produce" percocet and stripper joint, nigga literally made that s***. every musical element you hear in the song, even arguably future's autotune working at all is metro, unless there are other niggas credited. he's composing. he's a music composer, an artist. producer is just the term we use for folks who make anything other than the "main draw" like the artist rapping, when in reality there would be no future music without the "producer". all these future songs really should have whoever actually made the music having top billing right next to bro, not just a name hidden in credits, but that's a convo for another time

jason ladder is credited as a recording engineer and for guitar, bass and keyboards, so the answer of who really made the song along with the other credited writers becomes clear. daheala is a credited "writer" and he is a crack industry producer, so he prolly made the drums and all other elements ladder didn't make. rubin sat around and said "vibes, man" the song obviously didn't need him, and now he gets a royalty check for it.

all in all the producer as a role is a meaningless term more than ever and that's why rick has been able to get by this long w literally no musical talent or skill

that video about him being scared of bluetooth told me everything

Those people don't stand out as much so we would notice them less as opposed to "X person spotted with Y far right pundit"
