Yeh real history is far more complicated but from my understanding it something like this.
After WW2 and after millenniums of attack and suffering, there was a wave called Zionism, which ment that the Jews had to have their own country, because if not they are never going to be safe.
So after the Holocaust, the Zionism movement really grew very strong. They had their eyes on Israel because there was historical evidence that Jews was there back in like 400BC or smth. The world felt bad for the Jews. The UK rushed the processed of giving the Jews Israel, and just said that there was part of Israel was Palestine.
Now the issue, there was a thing called the 6 day war. Where ALL the surrounding neighbor of Israel started to attack them, Egypt Jordan Iraq Syria Lebanon. But surprisingly Israel won, and since they won they expanded, taking apart of Egypt all of Palestine and other parts. Eventually they gave back some land to achieve peace. But they didn't give back the Palestine part, and eventually isreal started to settle in those Palestine area.
The UN was slow to react and by the time they reacted, there was Jews that already settled in Palestine area. So it makes the legality of it murky. Since there is a lot of countries that go to war and expand.
Now jumping into the present. The Palestine is controlled by a group called the Hamas. They are not willing to have peace. They don't recognize isreal, and was to kill all Jews. Litreally impossible to achieve peace.
Now this is scratching the surface of the issue. My only problem is people who don't know the history comments with their prejudice. Saying things like isreal is creating a Palestine genocide. Like ?? . This is war, and no where near a genocide. People think they are based and condemned isreal, just because in this situation isreal is more powerful than Palestine. Like imagine if you had to live with someone that wants to kill you, but you were more powerful than them. In reality both countries are at fault. There is no one side that is right. Siding with either side and completely dismissing the other side is exactly the problem, that would cause the other side to strengthen more their beliefs.
Edit: British supported Jews for isreal not since WW2 but since ww1
Amazing how you can say both sides are at fault while using the a***ogy Palestinians are murderous insects that need evicting. English doesn't seem to be your first language which is totally fine but your post seems a bit conflicted
What’s wrong with what she said?
Extremist boy I’ll tell ya
What else is a celebrity supposed to say?
She right religious wars gotta end how is that a hot take
It's not really a religious war, this is about territory and the government of Israel not getting along with the nation of Palestine (people with multiple different backgrounds
and religions). Israel recently attacked a mosque so I guess you could say religion is involved but it's a very small part and not the issue. Please read about the issue before making a final opinion. Israel wants control of all Palestine land and to get rid of the people there now so they could put there own people there, Israel is funded by the US and backed by tons of other countries while Palestine is a small nation with very little resources. We witnessing genocide to the Palestinians and they're fighting for their lives.
Any support is needed and Rihanna dropped the ball. This is worse than a hot take, it doesn't even acknowledge the real issue. Kids dying is bad, we already know. Israel needs to stop invade Palestine and killing innocent people. A lot of Palestine is illegally occupied by Israel and they just want to become separate so they could have freedom but Israel is unwilling to accept peace, they could return to 1967 borders they originally agreed to but Israel is being unreasonable greedy and blinded by hate.
did this dude really compare palestinians to "a murderour midget in your house you can't evict" ????
gtfo
ban every zionist itt

moron
Imagine America colonizing native land and saying the Americans who died doing so is a tragedy
there is only 1 side that needs support and it’s the people who are getting killed for land not the ones dying trying to take it
weirdos man
Half the Jews in Israel (Mizrahi, Sephardi Jews) came from Arab lands where they'd lived peacefully for hundreds of years before being thrown out recently. There's a million Moroccan Jews in Israel alone.
Most of these Jews tend to be far more conservative and right-leaning, they're the ones who vote Netanyahu.
The white (Ashkenazi) Jews from Europe tend to be far more pro-peace and left-wing.
F*** them all
Send em all to europe
not to mention the complete ahistorical nonsense on the 6 day war lmfao
That guy has to be an Israeli bot

The amount of “but both sides” I see in here just shows how good the yahudi propoganda cycle is

its not hard to be an expert on this lmao
its a pretty black and white issue
Imagine if Jews started to kill Nazis during hitlers time and people felt bad for the nazi’s
Free Palestine man
Imagine if the things we eat on a regular basis decided to come to their senses and start eating us back
can we really blame them
Free Palestine
Imagine bullying someone and getting your s*** beat but somehow you still get half the world on your side
Free Palestine
we NEED to stop putting so much power in these people's opinions. Rihanna's opinion on this makes no difference to the overall issue. we turn to celebrities for politics when our politicians fail us
Y’all that are mad that Rihanna said civilians shouldn’t die on either side. Take a step back and think about American colonialism, mass murder of civilians in the Middle East and other countries, countless children killed by drone strikes. Do you personally deserve to be held accountable and die for that? You can’t be mad at Israeli civilians but not be mad at yourself.
