that’s the reality of war-like fighting. rih said something bland and didn’t take a side, just saying “this is horrible that these people are dying over conflict”. is that a fair thing to say? yeah. but ppl are interpreting it as if it’s not a fair thing to say bc she didn’t explicitly mention that israel is the “bad one”. given what they instigated, i think they are, but that doesn’t mean acknowledging a situation in some descriptive sense as opposed to a condemning one is saying that israel is actually the “good one”, nor is it anything similar to victim blaming.

if she had described it as “the conflict is terrible! israel is in a complete state of fear due to hamas!” then that becomes tilted towards a direction and i’d understand the condemnation. rn i still don’t

uh no. you’re not a dumbass so you don’t need to resort to ridiculous mischaracterizations like “oh my god he said that Hamas is firing rockets with the intention to kill people, including innocents! he is victim blaming hamas for trying to kill people!”

what i said was clear. i acknowledged israel has far more capability and culpability in this conflict. what i’m also acknowledging is the fact that both sides are wagering innocent lives to get what they want.

Hamas got a few rockets that can break a window or cause a fire or make a car explode

Israel is destroying the tallest buildings in Gaza.

Palestine is pretty much helpless, those little rockets is all they got. If Israel doesn't care about the thousands of lives lost, why should Palestine while being oppressed care about these innocent Israelis (of which 83% support shooting Palestinian protestors).

Framing this like both of these sides are as bad as each other or even close to each other is ignoring the facts.

What do you mean when you support Israel? You're in support of what they're doing to Palestine right now because saying you support both is a huge contradiction.

I hate to get extreme but that's like someone in WW2 saying I support Germany and Poland and hoping that supporting both sides will prevent the war

hamas deliberately shooting rockets into civilian areas while israel aims strikes at hamas operating zones that purposefully contain palestinian civilians to inflate the palestinian death count so israel looks like the belligerent in the world stage

Palestinians on social media have repeatedly talked about those fake ass “hamas outposts”. I do believe Hamas actually uses those, but Israel basically won already because they can destroy any building and call it a secret Hamas outpost. Who’s gonna prove them wrong lol
