what i said was clear. i acknowledged israel has far more capability and culpability in this conflict. what i’m also acknowledging is the fact that both sides are wagering innocent lives to get what they want.

that’s the reality of war-like fighting. rih said something bland and didn’t take a side, just saying “this is horrible that these people are dying over conflict”. is that a fair thing to say? yeah. but ppl are interpreting it as if it’s not a fair thing to say bc she didn’t explicitly mention that israel is the “bad one”. given what they instigated, i think they are, but that doesn’t mean acknowledging a situation in some descriptive sense as opposed to a condemning one is saying that israel is actually the “good one”, nor is it anything similar to victim blaming.

if she had described it as “the conflict is terrible! israel is in a complete state of fear due to hamas!” then that becomes tilted towards a direction and i’d understand the condemnation. rn i still don’t

i’m not, i’m saying something that seems apparent to me and was reflected in rih’s bland statement (innocent people shouldn’t die regardless of where they live) that isn’t being reflected in whatever anger is being expressed towards rihanna. i asked genuinely at first bc i thought there was something i was missing, but so far the argument hasn’t made anything obvious about what she’s doing wrong except for not saying something entirely different from what she was saying, which is a weird reason to get mad imo.
