Aquaman and The Lost Kingdom was released this month and is the final DCEU movie.

WB/DC have finally took the cinematic universe equivalent of old yeller out to the woodshed and put it out of its misery.

With this in mind I thought I'd create the thread equivalent of a wake and eulogy for this trouble universe/would be franchise.

Also How would yall grade the DCEU overall. For me it would be a C- teetering on D.

Man of Steel was dope and The Suicide Squad was too. Wonder Woman 1 was cool. Blue Beetle and the first shazam were entertaining. And The Snyder Cut showed what could have been.

I used to watch this vid damn near everyday

Was an interesting failure, victim of constant regime changes and questionable creative choices based on chasing Marvel's success with their respective Cinematic Universe

DCEU is just one giant dump. Truly sad considering the roster of characters we have.

it's actually crazy that 10 years into the MCU there were at the end of the infinity saga and 10 years into the DCEU they were doing a flash movie and an aquaman sequel

F*** Warner Brothers all I have to say. Even for the movies I don't f*** with they meddled.

How you have a talent pool of critically acclaimed actors like Ben Affleck, Margot Robbie, Amy Adams, Viola Davis, Will Smith, Laurence Fishburne, Jeremy Irons, JK Simmons, even Jesse Eisenberg and Jared Leto, list goes on and manage to fumble bro.

Suicide Squad the most egregious offense to me. They made a complete joke of Jared Leto's Joker, the one movie you don't meddle with and they did it. I still would like to see that Ayer Cut, but it would just make me angry.

If they would just let Zach handled the creative direction it would’ve went smoother

Not saying it would’ve been stellar but atleast there would’ve been a consistent vision throughout

Rated pretty much all the films I saw either a 3/5 or 2.5/5. My highest rated DCEU film was The Suicide Squad with a 3.5/5. A middling group of films with no real spirit involved. RIP

On to a new era

Man of Steel and BVS existing in the same universe as wacky stuff like Birds of Prey is insane.

I'm surprised WB stuck with this continuity for as long as they did. Ten years is a long time.

I thought Zack leaving combined with Josstice League flopping would have been the signal for them to end this universe.

Thank God it's over.

The first mistake WB did was hiring Hack Snyder to spearhead a task as big as this.

Really hope this new era of DC prospers. A proper DC Universe on the big screen could be so cool. Hope Gunn could really deliver on this Superman movie.

Also the final movie in this continuity being not Man of Steel 2 or a justice league movie but a sequel to a f***ing Aquaman movie that also will probably flop is one punch in the gut for this universe lol
