It was fcuked from the get go. Man of Steel was conceived as a reboot of Superman. Then they retroactively forced it to be the beginning of the DCEU instead to play catch-up with Marvel.

It was definitely marketed as the Superman counterpart to the Dark Knight trilogy, after Avengers became a billion dollar hit WB essentially decided last min to make a universe out of it

I saw batman 2022, suicide squad, birds of prey, and man of steel. suicide squad is one of the worst movies ive ever seen. man of steel was weird but okay. batman 2022 and birds of prey were good

Knowing Man of Steel was supposed to be its own separate thing and universe like The Dark Knight Trilogy and now the Matt Reeves Batman movies makes all of the sense in the world smh.
