Just feels smoother to me, at least with RDR2 when it came out 8 years ago

He means frame pacing. Rdr2 and gta on ps4 and Xbox one had smooth frame pacing with 0 drops and industry leading motion blur to help smooth it out. Since its smooth frame pacing you don’t feel any choppiness some others have (it’s still 30 fps but it’s a consistent one)

Yes I know about frame pacing I was referring to 30fps itself. We have already seen the 30fps in the gameplay they have shown is not jarring is what I was getting at. Same as I had mentioned the use of bloom in more recent trailers/ gameplay doessnt bother me because I understand why its there for some movie magic . 30 FPS itself isnt bad is what I have been saying for multiple pages. Especially locked. 30fps locked with frame smoothing isnt terrible . doesnt change 30fps is still 30fps.

There are great games we have played throughout our entire life where 30fps is good and not jarring.

I literally worked on the framerate on MK1

framerate bugs was my main thing. Pix captures and GPU captures. Me saying 30fps is still 30fps . 30fps can be smooth or jarring

  • Time to finally buy that SSD

Not if they have watermarks that they didn’t inform the reviewers about.

Again 30fps locked is just different because its truly locked which as digital foundtry said they improved the stuttering issue they were seeing on previous gameplay . Smooth transitions between gameplay and cutscenes all that matters than simply holding 60 for some of a game then it can drop down to 30 then it can rise to 44 then constantly change. That is infinitely more jarring than locked 30fps

    I wish it was bigger

Not the first time I've been told this

Not to mention Rockstar’s best in class motion smoothing.

  • Wonder if Rockstar themselves will release any info on anything on Thursday as well?

I mean we have directly seen it in the gameplay shown. No one has said "this gameplay looks jarring or too slow or unresponsive". They have given us direct feed large download gameplay even separate from youtube. Many games we have seen gameplay or played for the first time in 30fps . Locked and not broken up or delivered at odd intervals 30fps isnt bad at all

Elden Ring was 30fps at launch and was a viral sensation

  • 210GB kinda a big jump. Most big single player PS5 games are around the 150GB range, I was expecting 180GB. Shows how huge this game is going to be if it's like a 50GB+ jump

Anybody complaining about 30FPS is going to adjust to it within like 20 minutes of playing. Wish Rockstar would just rip the bandaid off already and confirm it tho, the outcry about it is going to be worse the closer they do it to launch

  • Himothee

    Made Claude do it lol

also we have already had this discussion months ago when it was confirmed 30fps there is no new news on it. Why are you rehashing the same exact discussion if you care so much wait for the pc launch.

    Have Rockstar confirmed it?

Was most definitely not 30FPS unless you're talking about last gen consoles. It was at an unlocked FPS on PS5/Series X and locked at 60fps on PC.
