Have Rockstar confirmed it?
30fps?
yes this was confirmed in the first previews they did in kinda funny games 30fps locked. At that time they said they hadnt looked into pro yet but were going to look into it. With improvements to be made but no promise of 60fps due to same cpu.
Anybody complaining about 30FPS is going to adjust to it within like 20 minutes of playing. Wish Rockstar would just rip the bandaid off already and confirm it tho, the outcry about it is going to be worse the closer they do it to launch
its already been confirmed
Head of Development at Rockstar North, Rob Nelson, played the game for 2+ hours in front of Jones, who then detailed the experience on his Flow Games podcast. He said he could see the game running at 30 FPS during the demonstration, so he inquired about performance modes. Nelson replied that the game runs at 30 FPS for now, and that he'd need to "consult the technical team" for whether we'll see 60 FPS at launch "or later."
This has been the standard for Rockstar games for more than a decade at this point — release the game with a 30 FPS target in mind and update it later with a 60 FPS patch on more performant hardware. GTA V runs at 30 FPS on both the PS3 and PS4, but got updated to run at 60 FPS on the PS5. Red Dead Redemption 2 is unfortunately still stuck at 60 FPS on even current-gen consoles, however.
Elden Ring was 30fps at launch and was a viral sensation
No it wasn’t lmfao
am i tripping or is 250GB not that big considering it’s GTA?
It's big when you look at the sizes of other games. Jedi Survivor, FF Rebirth some of the biggest games on both consoles and they're around 150GB
It's a third of your storage if you got a launch PS5, a quarter of your storage if you got a slim. That's huge for one game
This ps5 is a gta machine so idgaf about the size
its already been confirmed

I mean Rockstar confirm it officially themselves. Vast majority of people aren't looking at these Youtubers' previews and still expect this game to be 60FPS or at least higher than 30FPS
Was most definitely not 30FPS unless you're talking about last gen consoles. It was at an unlocked FPS on PS5/Series X and locked at 60fps on PC.
true of older consoles newer consoles was unlocked and got closer to a consistent 60fps
I think that if people expect games to do more and have larger worlds sometimes they wont be a perfect 60fps locked is a reasonable expectation more and more the tech is pushed.
the PS5 equivalent to a pc cpu is an amd ryzen 7 3700 yes its optimized in a ps5 but they are doing magic with something that cost about 115$ in a modern pc
No it wasn’t lmfao
older consoles which were 9 years old at the time of launch. PS5 is 6 years old at the time of this launch.
Not if they have watermarks that they didn’t inform the reviewers about.
AI sees everything
lol nah ai dont know how to even remove that
prob not right now but i feel like a tool will def be developed in the next couple of years
honestly crazy to think that GTA V was only 8 GB on the ps3 and now GTA VI will need 25 times that
its pulling off 30fps on a 6 year old console that isnt bad at all.
Ngl, I think they might've been able to pull off at least 40FPS if they didn't have to cater for Series S

I mean possibly but they are finding ways to trick ai with fonts and things it cant read. Its similiar to cyber security but in this case finding ways to break ai so it can break the functionality of whatever you are creating and its purpose. Of course at any time if someone wants to leak something and risk their entire career / get sued they can attempt to do so and believe ai removed all watermarks

not true at all lol
if they could pull off a 40-60fps mode for xbox series x , ps5 pro, ps5 they would do it the xbox series s doesnt affect that
210 lmao
time to delete every game from my ps5

Why give any users an improvement when you can get them all to double dip when you drop the next gen version?

I am saying series s didnt hold it back its a technological issue. 60fps I see easily doable on ps6 and helix. Pro, PS5 and Xbox Series X the new ai upscaling could bring them up some but 60fps I think no chance
If they pull off some magic I will happily be wrong but I am saying currently even with more dev time and optimization dont see it posible on this current gen of consoles.
you saying rdr2 looks better on ps5 pro than your pc?
Yeah I like all the post processing. I feel like the game looks better on the ps5 vs having all the settings turnt up on PC in a weird way, like I can immediately perceive the age on the textures or something

could see how it more embodies the art style . PC RDR2 only looks crazy good after some light graphics mods

I know you fw Microsoft so you not gonna agree
but I think something like a 40FPS performance mode would be possible on base PS5 if Rockstar didn't have to develop the game for the Series S as well
Don't have anything to base this on except my belief that even though the console is 6 years old, the full potential of the PS5 technology hasn't been seen yet. That Mark Cerny presentation I posted in here a few days ago was wild to me, it's a bigger leap from PS4 than I thought
