I’m about 4 hours in, I won’t say it’s outright bad but man just knowing what Rocksteady are capable of it’s so mediocre. The gameplay is serviceable and provides enough fun when everything lines up just right, but the open world and activities outside the main story feel so half baked. I only payed $30 for it and so far I feel like i’m getting my moneys worth, but man i’d be so let down if I paid the full $70 or even worse $100. Hopefully they really go all in on the seasonal updates and improve the game using those, because right now outside of the incredible looking character models this really feels like it should’ve been free to play with premium $20-30 expansions.

Speaking for myself here; I don’t care bout that chronically online s***. The game is pretty fun and I have an affinity for looter shooters (grew up on borderlands).
Now that I understand that the games narrative isn’t totally finished, my only complaint is the lack of content. I’m curious to see how this game turns out by the end of the year. I’m hoping for the reception to turn around once the story develops and they add more s*** to do because I’d love to see how this game evolves after year 1

Avengers was almost as hated with how it was dropped. No one played that s*** cause of the boring gameplay. The story was average so it didn't have such a strong reaction

this game looks kinda fun but the whole always online fiasco puts me off

I’m surprised quick resume works as well as it does, I can pause the game and pick it up again a few days later without it kicking me back to the main menu. The random disconnects are super annoying though.
